Fisher's Inn

When exactly this abandoned inn far in the North of Germany closed its doors for the last time is unclear. Clear is, however that as late as the year 2014, foreign workers that were hired by nearby factories had to live here at less-than-substandard conditions for unreasonable prices. Expressions like "modern slavery" made their way into the local news. Shortly after the conditions of the workers became public, the traditional inn closed down forever.

In October of 2016, a big fire ruined most of the residential part of the inn, so that investors had to give up their plans of taking up hotel operations again, because the damaged part of the building had to be demolished. Demolition began mid-2017.
