Military Installation S.

This building is situated a little south of the location of the "Battery V", a 30.5cm artillery battery in World War I.
Supposedly, there were wooden barracks on the grounds of the building in WWI, which were later replaced with the red brick building.
I couldn't find much as to what the building was used for, but I think it was used as a kind of military school building during the 1930s and WWII and as a home for refugees after the war.
In the 1970s, the adjacent building was used by the Fraunhofer Society for research in radiation protection.
From the late 1980s until 1998, the building was used as a home for asylum applicants.
